Meeting Schedule:1 team meeting / week, typically 1 hour plus ad hoc meetings
Essential Skills:

  • Knowledge of teams outside of Digital where technical skills are used

  • Able to use a computer and keyboard.

The role of the Internal Coordinator (IC) is essentially one of team building and involves stewarding the team, supporting people, identifying gaps and filling roles. The IC also prioritises and supports tasks and projects within the team.

The Digital team and teams within Digital each either needs an internal coordinator (IC) or an IC who could share the role with an existing IC.
The teams where you may like to help are :

  1. Digital Discussions and Applications (DDAT)
    - ensuring that XR individuals can discuss and communicate over secure digital platforms
  2. Action Network Data team - ensuring that XR groups can effectively communicate with XRUK activists and interested parties,
    currently using the Action Network emailing tool
  3. CRM (Customer Relationship Management) development - developing changes to the system across XRUK.
    It holds data about external organisations with similar aims to XRUK, performers at XRUK events, potential or actual major donors and members of XR's Dirty Water Campaign
  4. Applications Hosting team (AHT) - ensuring XR servers in Switzerland, and the applications hosted on them,
    remain reliably accessible to teams who request them and reliably secure from unauthorised access.
  5. GDPR & Security - advising and assisting XRUK groups in properly addressing data protection, and IT security in relation to XRUK data.
  6. Promote and Support Digital Services - improving how we promote and support what Digital provides to XRUK.
  7. Digital - this team comprises external coordinators (ECs), i.e. reps, from the above 6 teams, our recruiter / trainer and budget holder.
    It drives XRUK’s digital strategy, ensuring that we have secure and effective platforms to communicate and inform.
