This role can be shared

XRUK Digital supports and develops our software, platforms, security and data protection. Our sub-circles are :

  • DDAT : supports the Hub, usage of Mattermost, forums and password management and gives general technical support
  • Action Network Data team : supports our email platform for messages to XRUK members
  • GDPR / Security : giving advice on data protection compliance and security of systems
  • CRM : holds details of organisations and individuals for 3 XRUK teams :
    Relationships : external groups with similar aims
    Programming : performers / speakers
    Fundraising : major / potential donors

The teams keeps up with developments in technology and responds to and supports requests for new functionality.

The External Coordinator role supports the team by

  • Representing this team within meetings of the wider circle (Systems & Culture)
  • Reporting on the health of this team to the wider circle, covering the work and effectiveness of this team in meeting its mandate.
  • Resolving tensions that can’t be resolved in this team by taking them to the wider circle.

Purpose: To drive XR’s digital strategy, ensuring that we have secure and effective platforms to communicate and inform. Accountabilities: Providing digital support and documentation for XR individuals and groups Learning about digital needs, problems, and current solutions throughout XR Creating and maintain infrastructure for public-facing online platforms Providing advice and assistance on digital security and legal issues Setting up, maintaining and supporting digital communication platforms to fill needs within XR, in accordance with digital strategy and culture Domains: XR UK GDPR and Privacy Policy XR UK Digital Strategy Security, access, and password management of the social media accounts and Action Network Database
